Chief Administrative Officer, City of Deer Lodge

Jordan Green is the Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Deer Lodge. He moved to Montana in 2021 from his home state of Kansas. He studied at Kansas State University, where he received a master’s degree in Regional and Community Planning. While his job responsibilities are varied, one of his primary responsibilities is to act as the city’s planner. During his time with Deer Lodge, he has overseen a substantial update to the City’s Zoning Ordinance and has spearheaded a major update to the City’s Growth Policy. He also performs all zoning and planning administration in the City. His primary planning focus for Deer Lodge is downtown revitalization through community involvement, economic development, and pedestrian-friendly design. His recent updates to the Zoning Ordinance were also initiated to incentivize new housing development and rehabilitation of existing housing. Jordan is excited to work with MAP to advance sound planning principles in Montana during this time of high growth rates throughout the state. When he is not working, Jordan enjoys hiking and skiing – in the winter months you can usually find him on the slopes at Discovery.
