Request for Proposals: Professional Design & Engineering Services for Powell County Regional Trail Planning Date of Issuance: July 15, 2026 Issuing Agency: Powell County Board of Commissioners Project Title: Parks to Passes: Active Transportation Connectivity and Safety in Western Montana Submission Deadline: August 26, 2026 Powell County, Montana, is soliciting a Request for Proposals (RFP) from multidisciplinary design firms or partnerships to identify a probable alignment for a regional trail spine from Butte, Montana to the Montana-Idaho border in Mineral County, through physical and legal inventory and public engagement within each of six project partner communities. Project deliverables include project branding, an intuitive and engaging website, and a feasibility study in the form of a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER), and five higher-level “spotlight project” designs. Electronic submissions are due Wednesday, August 26, 2026 by 5:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time.
