The City of Whitefish, Montana is seeking a Community Resiliency Planner, with a broad range of proven experience in community housing, economic development, sustainability and/or comprehensive planning to join our planning team. Under the direction of the Planning Director and/or City Manager, this position will manage a full range of complex professional planning duties related to affordable housing strategy and grant writing, economic development strategies, multi-modal transportation, and community sustainability, as well as assisting with comprehensive planning, zoning code updates, and occasional related current planning duties as assigned. The position requires a Bachelors degree in regional and/or city planning or a related field and four (4) years of progressive experience in long range planning, housing, economic development, sustainability or multi-modal transportation planning. Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. The salary range is $61,297.60 to $79,331.20 per year, depending on qualifications, plus an attractive benefits package. It is located on the shores of Whitefish Lake and the base of Big Mountain – home to Whitefish Mountain Resort.
